From Saturday to Sunday, from Tony Effe to Orietta Berti: the Fair is changing. First the grandchildren, now the parents and grandparents, sitting in the armchairs of the Congress Center. Here too, affection and passion. No free seats and presentation entrusted to Maurizio Porcelli. “My life is a film” says the screen, 55 years of music, almost like many couples in the room who celebrated half a century together. There is solidarity with the Casa per bambini oncologico a Mulinu Becciu and the performance of two young performers, Eleonora Garau and Max.
Then finally Orietta. Long red dress, bright and flowing, grace and character. Each song is a piece of history, an encounter, a friendship. It starts with the hit “Mille” and behind the faces of Fedez and Achille Lauro. There is the return to Sanremo, in 2021, with “Quando ti sei innamorato”. “After 29 years it wasn't easy”: the hesitations and then the reassuring words of Amadeus and the welcome of everyone.
Orietta reminds us that life is not always a clear road, but we must let ourselves be amazed: as in recent years, in which she has been infected by modernity without losing her identity. An example is “Luna Piena”, born from a meeting with Hell Raton in Machele, with the complicity of X Factor, dedicated to women, to the importance of loving themselves first, but also to love in general.
There are many career milestones. The 50 years with a song by Paolo Limiti, one of the author's last, "Dietro un grande amore" from 2015. There are the many festivals in which Orietta took part, such as "Un disco per l'estate", in 1969 with the "Altalena".
The audience is attentive and, as soon as the rhythm picks up, the hands go in time. “Ma, mai, non ci lasceremo mai, è un girotondo”. The further back you go, the more maturity rediscovers the lightness of youth, which many feel is their own. A path that is anything but banal, in which she faces seasons, fashions, genres, light and complex topics. Here are the offended women in “Il coraggio di chiamarlo amore” and she asks for the light of her cell phones. Every life is a film, she recalls in “Pensavo fosse un gioco”. There are covers, like “Io che amo solo te” by Endrigo, sung again in 2021 at Sanremo. There is South America in “Quien Será”, dedicated to “many Argentine gay friends who could not live their lives”. More stories, more emotions. The sensuality of “Io posso”, the Neapolitan soul of “Tu vo' fa' l'americano” by Carosone, the brothels in “Via dei Ciclamini” from 1971. Participation in Canzonissima with the infatuation of “Se mi innamoro di un ragazzo come te”.
It ends in a crescendo of rhythm and emotions. “Io ti darò”, but above all the talisman of “Finché la barca va” and the memory of her Pygmalion Giorgio Calabrese in “Il mio concerto”. At the end the audience surrounds her and dances in an embrace, while she proposes “Luna Piena” and “Mille”. Then the good wishes. “Ci vedere quest'estate”, the promise of a singer who knows how to bring summer even in December.
