The XXII International Organ Festival continues, promoted in various centers of Sardinia by the Arte in Musica Association as part of the broader Mediterranean Festival, which in recent days has also offered the highly appreciated Riviera del Corallo chamber music concerts.
Next Tuesday 30 August at 9 pm new appointment in the Cathedral of Alghero: Mara Fanelli and Olimpio Medori protagonists of an evening dedicated to "The Opera in the Church - Transcriptions for 4 hands and 2 feet organ", with famous pieces taken from operas by Mozart, Verdi, Bellini and Rossini , performed exceptionally on the organ, from the "Magic Flute" to "Va 'Pensiero", from the "Barber of Seville" to the "Rigoletto".
In detail, this is the concert program : Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart “La Clemenza di Tito” - Overture and “Der, welcher wanderl diese Strasse” (“Die Zauberflöte”); by Vincenzo Bellini “Norma” - Overture; by Giuseppe Verdi "Va 'Pensiero" (from "Nabucco") and "Beautiful daughter of love" (from "Rigoletto"); by Gioachino Rossini “Assisa a 'pié d'un willow” (from “Otello”) and “Largo al factotum” (from “Il barbiere di Siviglia”).
