Opera: Puccini's "Tosca" opens the autumn season in Sassari

On the centenary of Puccini's death, "Tosca" opens the autumn opera season organized by the de Carolis organization. Three shows are scheduled at the Comunale: tomorrow at 8:30 p.m., Sunday at 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. The youth preview was sold out.
The protagonist in the eponymous role is the soprano Marta Mari , considered one of the most beautiful voices in the world. The baritone from Oristano Marco Caria returns to her theater, playing Baron Scarpia. Among the big names in the cast are also the Georgian tenor Otar Jorjikia (Cavaradossi) and the bass Andrea Porta (Sacristan). Also on stage are young promises: the bass Tiziano Rosati (Angelotti), the tenor Nicolas Resinelli (Spoletta) and the bass Michael Zeni (Sciarrone).
The de Carolis Orchestra will be conducted by conductor Gianluca Martinenghi . The director will be Renato Bonajuto, assistant director Siria Colella. The de Carolis Choir will be conducted by Francesca Tosi, the children's choir by Salvatore Rizzu. The costumes are by Artemio Cabassi while the scenography by Danilo Coppola uses the paintings of Giovanni Gasparro .
