A raid first in Cagliari to steal a car and another in Monserrato, to set fire to some cars , after having raided petrol: three people were reported by the police thanks to a lightning operation carried out using testimonies and the images from the cameras of the Municipality of Monserrato placed in the town.

All are charged with aggravated theft and setting fire to three cars.

The operation was coordinated by Captain Ignazio Cabras, commander of the Quartu Carabinieri Company, and by Lieutenant Pierpaolo Sabiu, commander of the Monserrato station.

Everything has been reconstructed in detail: the three, last night, first stole a car in Cagliari, after opening another to take away some clothes stored in the passenger compartment. They then headed to Monserrato where they removed some petrol from a parked van .

With the bottle of petrol in hand they then headed to other streets , setting fire to a car parked the night before, with the flames quickly reaching two other parked cars, which were equally damaged .

However, someone noticed what was happening, alerting the Monserrato police. The investigations began immediately and in the end, quickly, the three alleged perpetrators of the night raid were identified.

Now the file is on the table of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Cagliari, to which Captain Ignazio Cabras and Lieutenant Pierpaolo Sabiu have submitted a report.

Monserrato has been under the strict control of the police for days with checkpoints in the town and on the outskirts.
