There are also the verses of Melchiorre Murenu , "Tancas serradas a muru fatto a s'afferra bagna...", linked to the publication of the closures issued on 6 October 1820, engraved in the so-called literary benches , five installations placed by the Municipality in the symbolic places of the town, including the entrance to the cultural center.

These are benches that seal the experience of the book fair published in Sardinia, which celebrated its twentieth edition last autumn.

It was an event under the banner of Sardinian culture, which was called to discuss one of the most complex issues that current events offer: nations, borders and wars. For a right to peace between the 21st century and a return to the past.

"With the arrangement of the five benches in strategic places in the town - says the councilor for culture, Gianfranco Congiu - we want to send a double message: thanks to all those who have made possible the excellent success of an event, which is confirmed to be the most important Sardinian book event, with the Region, the association of Sardinian publishers, the municipal library, the Emmepi bookshop, the Centro Servizi Culturali, the Polo Culturale Giovanile».

Inserted in the context of Sardinian culture, a thought was dedicated to the great local poets , those of the past, with the famous verses of Melchiorre Murenu on the closures, then the living Salvatore Murgia and Bernardo Zizi, then Pinuccio Giudice Marras, who with their verses they gave prestige and pride to the entire community.

"The hope - continues the councilor for culture, Gianfranco Congiu - is that everything can contribute to the understanding and dissemination of our culture , therefore making us appreciate the extemporaneous nature of a sung opera, allowing us to rediscover the inspiration, fantasy, depth, respect for the themes of life and for the person and that our poets have been able to interpret so masterfully».
