New life for the necropolis of Su Crucifissu Mannu, one of the most important archaeological sites in the city of Porto Torres. Inserted in the regional planning of the continuation of the "securing of the decorated domus de janas", the necropolis will be the subject of a conservation and valorization intervention thanks to the resources, amounting to 150 thousand euros, allocated by the regional department for cultural heritage. The monument stands at the entrance to the city of Porto Torres, 22 tombs built starting from the recent Neolithic (3200-2800 BC) and constantly used until the Early Bronze Age, around the 16th century BC

Several hypogea composed of several rooms with entrance in the shape of a well or corridor. The complex of domus de janas dug into a bank of limestone rock, kept just outside the town, represents a heritage of particular importance chosen by the municipal council to enter the tentative list, the list of candidates for UNESCO recognition.

The executive had joined the network of Municipalities that signed the memorandum of understanding for the valorisation of UNESCO recognition of the domus de janas as a World Heritage Site.
