What remains of a land burned by fire after the flames are extinguished? The photographic exhibition Everything burns tells the story. What remains?, created by the artist Sabrina Maccioni, hosted at the Costa Smeralda airport in Olbia, inaugurated yesterday and open until the end of June.

Through the voices of the communities who lived through the experience, portrayed in the images of devastated landscapes, the exhibition describes the consequences of the fires that hit Sardinia in the summer of 2021, burning over 20,000 hectares of land, especially in the Oristano area. A photographic project that is an emotional journey, beyond geographical borders, to explore the emotional impact of those events on the populations involved.

«Geasar has always been sensitive to social and territorial issues and, in line with its vision of sustainability, has welcomed this photographic exhibition with great enthusiasm to raise awareness among tourists arriving on the island on the importance of environmental protection and prevention of fires: with this exhibition we intend to stimulate a profound reflection on how to protect the natural and cultural heritage of Sardinia and on the role we can play in enhancing this unique land», writes, in a note, the management company of the Olbia airport.
