Following Romi Fuke's decision to abandon the acquisition of Olbia Calcio and pending the transfer of ownership between Swiss Pro and the rumored new investor, Olbia has suspended training.
"If someone doesn't come on in the next few days, we won't play Palmese on Sunday," announced captain Daniele Ragatzu regarding the home match, valid for the third round of the second half of Serie D.
Meanwhile, Swiss Pro responded to Fuke in the evening. "We firmly reject," the statement reads, "the allegations regarding the alleged failure to comply with the 'minimum transparency requirements.'"
The acquisition hypothesis advanced by Romi Fuke focused on a phantom "sports branch of the company. It's important to clarify, beyond the legal technicalities, that Olbia Calcio is a single, inseparable entity."
The Swiss owners' version of the situation follows. "The breakdown of negotiations is not due to a lack of transparency on the part of Swiss Pro, but rather the realization," they emphasize, "that acquiring a glorious club like Olbia doesn't require press conferences or "special effects," but rather proven financial and capital strength. We wish Mr. Fuke the best of luck in his future investments."
