Leandro Greco's day has finally arrived. Today Olbia presented its new coach, taking stock of the situation in view of the next Serie C championship with the president Alessandro Marino and the sporting director Tomaso Tatti.

"An interview was enough to understand that Greco was the right person for us," Marino began. «However, what struck me most is that among the priorities he indicated what is also my keyword, that is sacrifice, which is the basis of important results. Now we are leaving with renewed enthusiasm».

Next, Tatti. «From the first interview with the coach, the feeling started: after the confrontation with the president we decided that he was our coach», said the sporting director of the whites. «He has clear ideas about the team and he strongly wanted Olbia: I wish him all the best for an important start to the season. It won't be easy, we know it, but we're ready."

So, Greek. "I'm young, I'm 37 and it's my first experience as head coach: being chosen by Olbia is a source of great pride for me and a great opportunity that I intend to exploit," said the new Gallura coach. «After my second-round experience at Sudtirol, I had clear ideas, I wouldn't have gone everywhere: I chose Olbia because something important happened with the director and the president, which made me realize that here I would have had the opportunity to grow alongside people and a company that would have supported me in this».

On the transfer market and ambitions, the managers of Olbia are not overwhelmed. "First goal is salvation, then let's see what happens," Tatti limited himself to saying. The same goes for Marino, who however added: «The other side of the standings has become attractive for the teams with our budget, which have increased in recent years given that many clubs have cut resources. For us, this represents a further stimulus to do well: I believe we will be able to obtain some satisfaction».
