It will enroll future boat and yacht designers: the Naval Engineering degree course will be inaugurated at the Olbia University Center next academic year. Inserted in the training offer of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Cagliari, the new course, which adds to the seven already active in Olbia, was presented this morning in the administrative headquarters of the UniOlbia Consortium, by its president, Aldo Carta, by the mayor, Settimo Nizzi, by the magnificent rector of UniCa, Francesco Mola, by the general director, Aldo Urru, and by the dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Daniele Cocco.

Three-year, with the ambition of extending it up to the master's degree, the course was created with the dual objective of satisfying the need for (innovative) skills required by nautical entrepreneurs present in the industrial sector of Olbia, excellence of the island, and to allow students Sardinian students to undertake the training course without having to reach the universities of Palermo, Naples, Trieste or Genoa, the only Italian universities to offer the course of study.

The naval engineering course will be hosted in the former Sep premises, in via dei Lidi, redeveloped and converted into an educational center by the management consortium of the Tavolara - Punta Coda Cavallo protected marine area.
