On the eve of the away match in Trastevere, Lucas Gatti asks Olbia for “determination”. Because, says the coach of the whites presenting the midweek round valid for the 8th day of Serie D, “without it, nothing makes sense: you can win with determination even if you don't have order and control, but not the opposite”.

The defeat suffered by Paganese on Saturday still stings, and the bottom of the table in last place with 2 points, cohabiting with Costa Orientale Sarda, in addition to clashing with the objective of a prompt return to Serie C, makes us fear the worst. Tomorrow at the “Trastevere Stadium - Vittorio Bachelet” the Gallura team has the chance to file away the last bitter result first. “But we need a victory,” sounds the charge Gatti.

“The team is doing well but it needs to get out of a negative dynamic, which unfortunately only ends with a win,” he explains. “A win can change the climate, but to win you need determination: this is the key now,” reiterates the Argentine coach, who arrived in Olbia 2 weeks ago. “Trastevere is a young team, but they have players who, if you let them play, can easily hurt you up front: you will have to suffer.”

Something Olbia is used to. “After the defeat against Paganese we experienced difficult days, but we never lost sight of the fact that some things have improved,” adds the former Boca Juniors. “The results, as we know, depend on many factors, but we must continue to seek order without the ball and control of the game through the ball, avoiding losing it to avoid dangerous situations. And be determined in the last 30, 40 meters: there the individual must come out,” insists Gatti. “We have many good players, but they must play with the right mental freedom: we can prepare the game down to the smallest details, but we are all aware – concludes the coach – that victory depends on the determination of the players.”

Teams on the field at 3pm: referee Fabio Rinaldi of the Novi Ligure section will take charge.
