Marrazzo isn't the only one. In Olbia's 1-1 draw at Albalonga on their Serie D debut, the scorer who gave them the lead stood out: the not-yet-18-year-old striker, who came through the Gallura club's youth ranks and is fresh off a season at Calangianus in the Eccellenza league.

But at the "Francesca Gianni" stadium in San Basilio, before the home side equalized with 20 minutes remaining through Coquin, Olbia had the chance to double their lead through Ragatzu from a free kick and Biancu in the second half. In their away match in Rome, the Whites also suffered, with Ascioti playing a key role on a couple of occasions, plus a penalty missed by Lazio captain Bensaja before halftime, a post hit by the opposing team afterward, and a decisive save from Perrone, who replaced the injured Ascioti, to make the score 1-1.

So, that's fine. Even for Giancarlo Favarin, who hasn't forgotten the 5-0 defeat in the Coppa Italia the week before. "I'm pleased with the team's performance: it was a completely different story compared to last Sunday," says the Olbia coach. "We were very organized, attentive, and we made the most of the few chances we had: Daniele's free kick went just wide, Biancu's last-gasp shot could have been a goal, but the result is important for morale," adds Favarin, ready to get back to work preparing for the next home match against newcomer Valmontone.

"The team is a bit behind physically. We have a busy week ahead of us, but the further the players progress, the more confident they become." It's just a matter of finding their best form. "Technically, the team has good potential, so all we have to do is continue working as we have so far, head down," emphasizes the Pisan coach. "We started late, and it's a problem we'll be carrying around for a few more weeks, but," he concludes, "I'm confident in the players' character. Against Albalonga, they gritted their teeth and endured, remaining united in difficult moments."
