In Olbia, the day after the 1-1 derby against Latte Dolce, the football gave way to the rags, which continued to fly around the Gallura club even after the famous change of ownership, which was supposed to solve all the problems of a very unusual season.

Olbia Calcio announces that it has received a peremptory payment demand from Mr. Giovanni Degortes, as a shareholder of Nexum Stp SpA (Olbia's main sponsor), for the sum of €137,568.00, plus default interest, damages of all kinds, penalties, and compensation for early termination and unspecified consultancy fees. The club emphasizes that the company invested €14,000 in Olbia as a sponsor and that Degortes was the president of the "Support Committee" created to save Olbia, making himself available free of charge to the club and the city.

In a statement published this morning, the current ownership of Olbia Calcio, under the Prosoccer brand, also clarified that it "never granted any formal mandate to Mr. Giovanni Degortes and his Nexum Stp SpA, and if a contract exists, it was signed by Mr. Giovanni Degortes and the previous president." Furthermore, "since the new board of directors took office, they have relied on the services of other professionals, and it is unthinkable that a Serie D team would need to spend €137,568.00 on payroll consultancy services, compared to Real Madrid."

Finally, Olbia Calcio announces that it reserves the right to take legal action, both civil and criminal, to protect the club's assets and reputation.

Meanwhile, on the pitch, direct salvation is moving further away.

Sassari's draw earned them a 22nd point in the standings, but once the regular season is over, they're eight points away from the comfort zone. There are now 11 matchdays remaining in the regular season. Winning their head-to-head matches will be crucial, starting with the next one against Montespaccato, who trail in Group G by two points.
