“Stories of a Moment” is back. With Francesco Malavolta, Giorgio Lotti and other great protagonists of photography.

In Olbia , between the historic center, the archaeological museum and the “Attilio Deffenu” technical institute, the 13th edition of the popular photography festival will come to life, starting from November 22nd and lasting until December 8th .

The event organized by the Argonauti Association , which brings together great names in Italian and international photography, professionals and advanced amateurs, will this year indulge in an incursion into the world of comics . But not only that: there will be references to the “rediscovered image” and a reflection on the overall meaning of the bizarre Medium today, in addition to the exhibitions, demonstrations and screenings, plus the usual market exhibition of cameras, both used and historic , and sessions aimed at developing and printing traditional films .

The program

The first meeting is on November 22nd at 10:30 at the “Attilio Deffenu”, where Francesco Malavolta, a photojournalist very active in the world of migration, will meet the students to illustrate his work entitled “Popoli in Movimento”, which aims to highlight the stories of individual people as the only narrative that contrasts with that of the continuous juxtaposition of refugees as numbers. The encore at 18:30 at the Argonauti Polytechnic, in a meeting open to the public.

The following day, at the Corso Umberto 33 space (6.30 pm), the meeting with Giorgio Lotti will take place: the professional historian of Epoca, author of the famous portrait of the Chinese Prime Minister Zhou EnLai and present at the Archaeological Museum with the exhibition “A Life as a Reporter”, will talk with Mauro Galligani, another pillar of Italian photojournalism.

On November 30th and December 1st at the Argonauti Polytechnic it will be the turn of the journalist and popularizer Gerardo Bonomo, who, assisted by Marco Loi and Andrea Mignogna, will be the protagonist of a lesson on the perfect exposure and will be available to develop and print the negatives with traditional procedures.

On December 7 and 8, the exhibition space at Vicolo 74 in Olbia will host a market exhibition of used and collectible cameras, while on November 29 and December 6 at 7:30 pm, the cinema hall of the Politecnico Argonauti will host screenings of “One Hour Photo” by Mark Romanek and “Ritratto di Pablo Volta” by Giovanni Columbu.
