The Phoenician, Punic, Greek and Roman finds kept in the Archaeological Museum of Olbia speak in Sardinian and Gallura and end up online. Archeo Map Olbia is being launched, a web app that digitizes the contents of the fifty information panels, accompanied by images, set up in the museum spaces, translated into the two languages of the territory that will also be introduced in the audio guides. The application is accessed by framing a QR code, located at the entrance to the museum, which will allow the immediate download of the contents in Italian, Sardinian and Gallura. Archeo Map Olbia, which is part of the project presented by the Department of Culture of the Municipality to the regional call for proposals Tutela Lingue Sardegna, also includes the introduction of routes between the archaeological sites of the city: itineraries to discover the cultural heritage of Olbia guided by the app, which will also allow the digital tour.
The project is curated by the Chircas Institute, chaired by Salvatore Canu, which since 2021 has managed the language offices of the local languages of thirty-nine municipalities of Gallura and Logudoro, with the supervision of the archaeologist Letizia Fraschini who edited the texts translated by the Chircas operators, and the approval of the Superintendence of archaeology, fine arts and landscape for the provinces of Sassari and Nuoro. Among the activities for the promotion of the cultural and linguistic heritage of the territory, the Chircas institute has planned a series of excursions and participation in the national event Monumenti aperti, scheduled for May. The guided tours open on April 13 with the Walk in Gallura between the sacred well Sa Testa and the Castle of Pedres.
