The Olbia Arena is preparing for the big leap .
Larger spaces to increase capacity, the Municipality, thanks to the acquisition of new areas from private individuals, aims to make the music village inaugurated last summer a "permanent and definitive headquarters".
The main event, of course, is the Red Valley Festival - scheduled from 12 to 15 August 2023 - which is preparing to break the ceiling of twenty thousand admissions with a bill of which, for now, only the return of the Nuclear Tactical Penguins has been revealed . With over sixty percent of the non-resident audience, the event also proved to be an effective driving force for tourism promotion , mediated through social media by the very young (47% of the audience was between 16 and 25 years old), to which was added the official communication campaign and an eighty-minute film on the Prime video platform.
«The festival has guaranteed a better offer for tourists and residents who have used the "service" and has given a rejuvenation at the target level in the area - said the event manager Luca Usai - A first experience of which we are satisfied with the ambition to improve. We have also obtained interesting results with regard to people who bought tickets without knowing who was there, this means that the destination is ready to welcome them and that the festival worked well last year".
Advance presentation also to allow the accommodation machine of the city and the territory to organize itself in the best possible way.
«I think it's the first time that a festival has been announced so early in Sardinia - said the councilor for major events, Marco Balata - this means that we have entered first-rate musical events : the opportunity is given to operators to make a plan and create an economic spin-off as it is at the center of a national and international event».
Meanwhile, work is underway on the return of the traditional New Year's concert but no anticipation of the names: "The event will take place but it is a work in progress", commented Mayor Settimo Nizzi.
