Olbia and Gallura are the protagonists of “Linea Verde Life”, in an episode that will be broadcast on Saturday 5 February (at 12.20 on Raiuno).

This week, a troupe dedicated itself to filming the program conducted by Daniela Ferolla and Marcello Masi, which deals with the theme of urban sustainability. Eco, bio, smart, green: these are the narrative axes, with a window of comparison with the greenest cities in Europe.

"The reasons that led the authors to choose our territory - comments the mayor Settimo Nizzi - make us understand how far-sighted some of our administration's choices were: Olbia is the first city in Italy to set the limit of 30 km / h in urban streets, as has happened in many European cities such as Brussels, Paris, Stockholm and Barcelona. The choice was not made only to ensure greater safety on the roads, but it meant triggering a virtuous circle of improving mobility and managing common spaces. Bicycles are used more willingly, pedestrians are freer and children more autonomous ".

Among the images immortalized by the cameras, those relating to the school street in via Nanni, where children can get to school safely and maybe stop to play or chat with their classmates before the bell rings, an initiative particularly appreciated by citizens who are clamoring. to replicate it in other areas of the city.

The other shots took place in San Simplicio, at the Fausto Noce park, in Porto Romano, with its murals made by young artists and, of course, in Piazza Crispi and on the seafront. Among the typical features of the area, focus on shellfish farming, and then the wonderful island of Tavolara.

The episode will then see insights into other typical features and preciousness of Gallura.
