Official: Sardinians voting for municipal and European elections on 8 and 9 June
The Todde council approved the resolution ratifying the merger. Polls open in 27 Municipalities, including Cagliari, Sassari and Alghero. Possible run-offs on 23 and 24 JuneGreen light for the "merged" vote for Sardinia.
With its first resolution, adopted in the first meeting, the regional council led by Alessandra Todde has in fact decided, on the proposal of the councilor for local authorities and finance, Francesco Spanedda, to combine the municipal elections with the elections for the European Parliament .
The Sardinians will therefore go to the polls for the double vote on Saturday 8 June (from 3pm to 11pm) and on Sunday 9 June (from 7am to 11pm).
For the possible run-off round, the dates identified are Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th June.
The municipalities affected by the next electoral consultations are:

The Municipalities possibly affected by the run-off rounds are Cagliari, Sassari, Monserrato, Sinnai, Alghero.
Still regarding the elections, explains a note from the Region, the Todde council then decided, «to ensure the optimal conduct of the consultations and compliance with the timing in the organization and management of the different phases of the electoral procedure, to establish within the of the Presidency, a temporary working group to support the Regional and Electoral Statistics Service of the General Directorate of the Presidency".
