The festival that from Thursday to July 31 will take center stage among the ancient sites of Baressa, Urzulei, Villagrande Strisaili and Villanovaforru . Year number seventeen for the creature of the Crogiuolo that this season is strengthened by five illustrious names of the national scene: Carlo Cecchi, Iaia Forte, Marco Baliani, Lucilla Giagnoni, Alfonso Santagata . In addition to them also important national and regional companies, emerging young artists, artistic residences and workshops. But let's see together the first most significant dates.

The main nucleus will be concentrated in Villanovaforru with two previews . Thursday, at 9:30 pm, in Pinn'e Maiolu the Muta Imago company presents the regional premiere of “Dopo il diluvio” with and by Claudia Sorace and Riccardo Fazi accompanied by the singing of Sara Bertolucci and the original music of Lorenzo Tomio. Saturday, same place and time, another regional premiere: “Miss Mother” by Teatro del Loto, written by Emilia Agnesa, with Bianca Mastromonaco and Xhuliano Dole.

The festival will officially open on Tuesday 15th at the Villanovaforru Archaeological Museum : at 7:30 pm, “Amori da palco” will be performed with Stefano Ledda, Marta Proietti Orzella, Rossella Faa for the Teatro del Segno. Also on the 15th, at 7:30 pm, in Villagrande Strisaili, S'Arcu 'e is Forros, “Un amore di suora” by Massimiliano Fois will be performed , with Elisabetta Dettori, who is also directing, music by Quirico Solinas for the Teatro d'Inverno. At 8:30 pm, we return to Villanovaforru, at the Genna Maria Museum, with the national premiere of “Canto la guerra e l'uomo” based on the Aeneid by and with Paolo Panaro for the Diaghilev Company. In the evening, still in Villanovaforru, at 9.30 pm, at Pinn'e Maiolu, the Ravenna company Fanny & Alexander will stage the regional premiere of “Se questo è Levi” directed by Luigi Noah De Angelis, dramaturgy by Chiara Lagani, with Andrea Argentieri.

Wednesday 16th, Baressa hosts at the Casa Museo, at 9.30 pm, Carlo Cecchi: the great actor and director reads Leopardi . Also on the 16th in Villagrande Strisaili at S'Arcu 'e is Forros, at 7.30 pm, “Canto la guerra e Didone” again taken from the Aeneid with Panaro in a national premiere. In Urzulei, in Piazza Fontana Vecchia, at 9.15 pm, “Paesaggi interrotti” with Luigi Usai, and the artists of the Accademia del Tempo, concept and direction by Ornella D'Agostino of Carovana Smi.

Thursday 17th in Baressa, at the Casa Museo, at 8:30 pm another stage icon arrives: Iaia Forte in “Hanno tutti ragione” adaptation of the novel by Paolo Sorrentino, songs by P. Catalano and P. Di Capri performed by Fabrizio Romano. Following, the Casa Museo, at 9:30 pm, “La dama degli Argonauti” by and with Lorenza Zambon for the Teatro delle Ariette.

Friday 18th at 8:30 pm in Villagrande Strisaili, in S'Arcu e is Forros, here comes another leading presence: Marco Baliani with the regional premiere of his “Quando gli eroi erano tanti” , dedicated to the writings of Roberto Calasso, directed by Maria Maglietta, a Casa degli Alfieri production. Following, at 10 pm, another star of Italian theater, Lucilla Giagnoni, who performs, in a regional premiere, his “Casta Diva” dedicated to Maria Callas.
