An event now in its seventh edition, eager to revive Nuoro and its symbolic places, with a nod to the younger ones.

Patapum returns , from 5 to 10 September , and lands in the Tanca Manna park , in that corner of the city steeped in history and suggestions. «The intent is to convey a “glocal” festival - says the creator and artistic director, Monica Corimbi - on the one hand with a strong vocation and attention to the territory, on the other with a marked attention to contemporaneity and new expressive languages especially in the theater».

The project

Organized by Bocheteatro, and supported by the Municipality and the Fondazione di Sardegna, “Patapum - Festival for creative children in the city of Nuoro” this year renews its collaboration with the Mamatita Festival of Alghero . The event aims to promote creativity, especially youth creativity, in all its forms of expression; then, spread cultural activities and create synergy between associations, citizens, administration and artists who work in the area.

"We hope that the Patapum festival can break out of the narrow confines of simple "service" spectacular activity, to become a production site with an international opening", specifies Monica Corimbi. Then she adds: "The attendance of past years proves us right: about 10 thousand in the 5 days of the last edition, which this year we aim to surpass. This project is the concretization of hard work, carried out with passion for over 20 years . Patapum was born from the desire to grow a thinking community that finds itself within the exchange, creation, research of oral and written stories, of different cultural traditions, of participatory art. It aims to promote the meeting between people. With the "popular theater" we want to reach the often forgotten places of the city".

The protagonists

The program promises to be rich and detailed . As usual, the opening of the festival will liven up the capital with the traditional parade-party, with the Royal Circus Orchestra. For the first time, then, the “Teatro nelle Foglie” will arrive in Nuoro with magic under the big top. The company will present three of its shows. Seven artists for innovative contemporary circus events: Kairos (6 and 7 September at 9 pm), La dolce follia (8 September at 9 pm) and Insomnia (9 and 10 September at 9 pm). However, the first show to open the dances on 5 September at 9 pm will be “Woow!” (Teatro C'art - Cie Bruboc): a surreal, non-verbal and clownish comic show, which lands in Sardinia for the first time. A pair of clowns, aboard a bizarre copper and metal vehicle, with wheels, an engine and a sound system, will cross the arena of the big top, set up for the occasion in Tanca Manna.

In addition, there will be a preview for the city: the presence of L'Alberò del Macramè. Clubs, balls, hoops, motorcycles and much more to test your skills and learn to keep your balance, while having fun, with a real "circus school" open to all.
