Two important events, presented this morning in the Spazio Ilisso, organized by the Sardinian Publishers Association (Aes) thanks to the support of the Sardinia Region. This morning

The Fair

Over five thousand visitors, excellent sales figures. Hence, the great affection of a community that has always been tied to reading. After the remarkable numbers and results achieved last December, in that unforgettable first edition, the Sardinian Regional Book Fair, "An Island and Its Books," will return to Nuoro. "The choice of dates, from November 6 to 9, 2025," explains AES President Simonetta Castia , "stems from the desire to consolidate the event's roots in the area, involving schools, cultural operators, and readers in a structured way. Nuoro, with its literary and cultural vocation, confirms itself as the natural home for the fair." This year too, the epicenter of the event will be the ancient Via Majore. Those large spaces overlooking Corso Garibaldi, from numbers 82 to 84, recently acquired by the Province of Nuoro and the Man museum.

Salvatore Satta

He is the author of "Judgment Day," an absolute masterpiece translated into several languages. It's impossible to remain indifferent to this novel, with its powerful and powerful passages. This is why the capital of Barbagia has decided to pay homage to the great jurist and writer, Salvatore Satta, fifty years after his death (1975-2025). Thus, the program of "Satti celebrations," conceived in consultation with the Scientific Committee established for the occasion and curated by Professor Angela Guiso , is of utmost importance. It is a comprehensive three-part program, from October 10th to December 19th. The program aims to explore the author's multiple perspectives—literary, legal, artistic—and offer a collaborative reading of his intellectual legacy.

The Scientific Committee

The "direction" is entrusted to Angela Guiso, as mentioned. The Scientific Committee also includes Professors Carlo Felice Casula (emeritus of RomaTre), Luigi Nonne , and Rossana Ortu (full professors at the University of Sassari and the University of Nuoro). The initiative has received the patronage of the University of Sassari, the Higher Regional Ethnographic Institute of Sardinia (ISRE), and the Accademia dei Lincei in Rome. "As a passionate devotee of Salvatore Satta," states Angela Guiso , "I can only be delighted with this initiative, which helps to highlight a writer with a 'sublime' style, now a hallmark of world literature: not only for the numerous translations of his work but also for the originality of his themes and images. A son of Sardinia and of the wider world, Salvatore Satta achieved a fascinating synthesis of literature and law, in a journey that led him to the top with diverse works, despite once conflicting opinions, now finally unanimous in recognizing his creative genius."
