Everything is ready for the first edition of the Note su Carta festival , from Wednesday, November 26th to Tuesday, December 10th in Cagliari, Sestu, and Elmas . The festival is dedicated to the dissemination of books on music, to better understand authors, composers, and artists, and to promote reading and music as tools for cultural growth and personal well-being. The festival is organized by the Ennio Porrino Association of Elmas , under the guidance of artistic director Ignazio Perra , with scientific consultancy from Myriam Quaquero and the organizational secretariat of Maria Elena Garau .
The event is made possible thanks to the contribution of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia in collaboration with the State Comprehensive Institutes "U. Foscolo - Via Stoccolma" of Cagliari and "Monsignor Saba" of Elmas , with the International Social Reading Festival " Diverso " and with other regional partners.
Several musical performances and events are planned, including one by Luigi Lai . There will also be concerts and live performances —which will accompany the book presentations— educational workshops for schools —with interactive activities on listening, musical notation, and the construction of various types of musical instruments—and meetings with authors and musicians aimed at students to raise awareness of the educational and therapeutic value of music.
The event's artistic director , Ignazio Perra, explains: "Note su Carta's activities are aimed at promoting and disseminating publications on music , with the goal of exploring the connection between words and sound. This involves authors, musicians, school administrators, teachers, students, and the public on a journey through essays, biographies, novels, and studies dedicated to music as an expressive and therapeutic language. The project includes events dedicated to book presentations and meetings with authors who have written on music and music therapy ; meetings between writers and musicians to explore the relationship between literature and sound; and insights into the role of music in health and well-being."
