Music takes shape on the pages of books. From November 26th to December 10th, Cagliari, Sestu, and Elmas host the first edition of Note su Carta, the literary festival that intertwines words and sounds to showcase authors, composers, and musicians, exploring the educational and therapeutic role of music.

The festival, promoted by the Ennio Porrino Association of Elmas and artistically directed by Ignazio Perra, offers a rich program of book presentations, meetings with authors and musicians, concerts, and workshops for schools.

Among the protagonists of the event are Ada Lai, Felice Todde, Stefano Chiesa, Angelo Molino, Luigi Lai and many other prominent names from the musical and literary scene.

The events range from essays and biographies to musical narratives, with insights into music therapy, vocalism, and listening education, and allow visitors to discover Sardinia through its musical traditions, from folk songs to launeddas.

The festival debuts in Cagliari with “Colonne sonore” , a meeting that will see Ada Lai present the musical diary “Cronaca di un tempo sospeso” and Felice Todde recount half a century of musical experiences in “Memorie musicali di un provinciale”.

The festival will continue with events such as “Pianist Portraits,” insights into music and philosophy, presentations on music therapy and autism, and a window on the music of Sardinia with Giulio Fara, Roberto Milleddu, Luigi Lai, and many others.

There will also be meetings with contemporary composers, including Adriano Aponte and Paolo Dal Molin, and presentations dedicated to historic musical figures such as Vivaldi, Erik Satie, and Marisa Sannia.

The final day, December 10th in Elmas, will be dedicated to schools, with interactive workshops, musical performances, and books designed for children, such as "Vivaldi" by Sam Taplin and "The Four Town Musicians of Bremen" by Giovanni Fara.
