He posted on his Facebook profile a photo of Hitler smiling and on the phone writing “Hi Mario, I wanted to congratulate you”, a clear reference to the Prime Minister Draghi.

For this Angela Maria Sartini, Northern League municipal councilor in Orvieto (Terni), was immediately suspended from the party and torpedoed by the mayor of the Umbrian town.

"We consider the post completely inappropriate and in bad taste", underlined the Lega Umbria in a note. “Even legitimate dissent with respect to the decisions taken by the Government cannot and must never go beyond common sense. It is even more serious to bring up such painful pages of history. In the next few days, the regional executive will meet the same councilor for a discussion ".

The commissioner, who has the powers of social policies and services, family, school, education and training, young people and the future, equal opportunities and gender policies, then removed the post but the omelette was done. At the moment he does not want to comment on the case.

"If a councilor in office expression of a ruling party publishes a photo of Hitler complimenting the Prime Minister, the meaning of which cannot escape anyone, what kind of problem does it pose not only to himself but to the mayor?", is the comment of the opposition councilor Franco Raimondo Barbabella.

Even Roberta Tardani, mayor of Orvieto, stigmatized the incident: "One can criticize the decisions of a government but what has been published cannot be tolerated or justified and I do not want it to be in the least compared to this administration and in no way to history and all 'image of our city.️ While waiting for a confrontation with the League and the other majority political forces, I will deal with the proxies previously assigned to councilor Sartini ".
