New Year's Eve is approaching and in Olbia the anticipation is growing for the big names who will liven up New Year's Eve: Pinguini Tattici Nucleari and Boomdabash . The city, after last year's boom with Zucchero and Salmo on the stage at Molo Brin , is ready to repeat the party. But if the presence of the artists had already been confirmed in the past weeks, this morning the entire municipal council, led by mayor Settimo Nizzi, illustrated all the events of the Christmas period in Olbia. One million euros , of which 80 thousand euros donated by the Banco di Sardegna Foundation and 250 thousand deriving from participation in a regional call for tenders, is the amount put aside to organize two evenings in the city, one on December 30, when in Piazza Crispi from 9pm until midnight there will be DJ sets by Rds and comedians from Zelig and Colorado , and the other highlight at Molo Brin with a concert by Pinguini Tattici Nucleari and after midnight by Boomdabash.

"It was not easy to bring an artist who was up to the success achieved last year with Zucchero e Salmo - said the municipal councilor for Tourism, Marco Balata - but we are sure we have succeeded also for this 2024". Balata launched a dig at the merchants of the historic center: "Many allow themselves to lower the shutters during the winter and holiday periods, only to complain later - said the councilor for Tourism - If the municipal administration does not organize events and demonstrations on their part there is no initiative". Many events that starting from December 7th until after the Epiphany will animate the historic center of Olbia and the hamlets of San Pantaleo, Berchiddeddu and Murta Maria.

"The Christmas Village returns to Piazza Regina Margherita, with Santa's house and the Grinch village. While the Refettorio dell'Arte will host the elf laboratory where children can participate in meetings organized through the laboratories of the students of the De André Art High School - explained Sabrina Serra, Councilor for Education - Both Santa's house and the Refettorio will remain open in the morning to allow the participation of the city schools". An additional 120 thousand euros have been made available for these collateral events. The Regatta on the port with the presence of Santa Claus arriving from the sea has also been confirmed, an event that combines entertainment with fundraising for the purchase of a pediatric respirator to be donated to the Giovanni Paolo II hospital in Olbia.
