New tender for the Asinara-Porto Torres connections: two tenders had gone deserted

New tender for the assignment of the public service connection between Porto Torres and the island of Asinara.

The Public Call of an exclusively exploratory nature is aimed at identifying economic operators to be invited to the subsequent procedure, therefore it does not constitute the start of a public tender procedure, nor a contractual proposal.

After two tenders that went deserted, the Regional Department of Transport approved the public notice for the acquisition of expressions of interest, in order to be able to guarantee the maritime connection for the transport of people, vehicles and goods on the "Porto Torres - Cala Reale” for the period of 72 months (6 years) , for a total raised amount of 12,262,500 euros.

Applications must be submitted by 1pm on 20 January next , by requesting an offer on the telematic platform of the electronic market. In March 2022, after a first occasion (2020), the second edition of the tender also ended in stalemate. In the meantime, the emergency service had been entrusted to Delcomar, the company that has been guaranteeing the service through the "Sara D" ferry for several years.
