Continuity of strategic interventions, development of the sector with the strengthening of production chains, innovation, incentives for young farmers, fight against depopulation and simplification of the procedures for requesting and disbursing contributions. With the new Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027 the Sardinian Region wants to boost the agricultural sector. “We are open to a discussion that takes into account the contributions of all the actors involved, starting with the fundamental one carried out by the trade organizations and the partnership”. This was stated by the Regional Councilor for Agriculture, Gabriella Murgia , speaking yesterday in Alghero at the conference organized by Confagricoltura “ Sardinia that looks to the future”.

"The CAP reform for the period 2023-2027 - said Murgia - has introduced important innovations, with the inclusion of all the objectives and interventions in a single National Strategic Plan, to address environmental and climatic criticalities in the coming years, social and economic aspects of agriculture. Objectives that we fully share and support and which, within the broad framework of national and EU rules, must be declined according to the specificities of the economic and productive reality of Sardinia and meet the needs of our farmers ".

Sardinia will be able to count on resources amounting to approximately 819 million euros for the planning of interventions for rural development, for the five-year period 2023-2027, according to the breakdown on a regional basis approved by the State-Regions Conference on 21 June last. Of these, approximately 414 million (50.50%) are EAFRD funds and 405 derive from national co-financing, of which approximately 121 million are to be attributed to regional co-financing resources.

According to the National Strategic Plan of the CAP, each Region has a Regional Management Authority, a Monitoring Committee and adopts a Programming Complement for Rural Development 2023-2027, which outlines the regional strategy that it identifies, in compliance with the national, the main elements on which the Region intends to invest, as well as highlighting the regional peculiarities compared to national ones.
