The new CD by singer Denise Gueye, accompanied on classical guitar by Marco Carta, will be presented at the Teatro Civico in Sassari on Thursday at 7:30 pm. The album, titled "Le Storie di Ieri," was produced by Clair de Lune and is a true journey into the heart of Fabrizio De André. Admission to the event, promoted by the Ars Aurelia association, is free, but reservations are recommended.

The partnership between Gueye and Carta was born from the idea that the songs of the great “Faber” can be read as short stories capable of enclosing entire existences in a few minutes of music.

The evening features a dialogue on the poetics and artistic legacy of the Genoese singer-songwriter who moved to Sardinia, with contributions from Bruno Camera , representative of the Clair de Lune label, and Andrea Cannas , professor at the University of Cagliari and one of the leading experts on De André, as well as editor of the CD booklet.

Tracing a path from the ballads of the 1960s to the great concept albums, De André's work reveals itself as a true novel in verse, in which characters, places, and marginalization intertwine, creating a profound and universal human mosaic. His songs thus become a space in which literature and music, memory and the present, timeless questions and individual stories coexist, transforming into a collective narrative.
