A new chapter in the American career of Riccardo Fois , the Olbia-born coach who will join the New York Knicks' coaching staff next NBA season. Fois will serve as player development coach on the staff led by Mike Brown , the new head coach of the historic New York franchise.
The Sardinian coach, who grew up in Santa Croce Olbia, recently concluded his experience with the Sacramento Kings , where he had previously worked alongside Brown. In the past, he was part of the staff of the Phoenix Suns (with whom he reached the NBA Finals in 2021), the University of Arizona , and Gonzaga University , beginning a journey in the United States that led him to be recognized as a specialist in individual player development.
Alongside his NBA experience, Fois has been part of the technical staff of the Italian men's national team for years, competing in the European Championships between the end of August and the beginning of September.
He is currently in Las Vegas with the Knicks to follow the team in the Summer League , a summer stage dedicated to young talents and players looking for a place on NBA rosters.
