There are the biochemist Bastiano Sanna from Nuoro and the violinist Silvìa Careddu from Cagliari, the cardiologist Enrico Ferro from Cagliari and the botanist, born in Bergamo but adopted by Cagliari, Gianluigi Bacchetta , the Roman writer with a Sardinian father Matteo Porru , a child prodigy of literature, at 23 years old and with four novels and various publications to his credit, the surfer Marta Maggetti from Cagliari, gold medalist at the last Paris Olympics, and the former football champion, French national team, five times champion of England, between Leeds and Manchester United, as well as a film actor alongside stars such as Cate Blanchett and Monica Bellucci, Eric Cantona , whose great-grandfather was originally from Ozieri. And who this evening was awarded by Gianfranco Zola himself , an opponent in the days of the Premier League.

Under the watchful eye of the President of the Sardinia Region Alessandra Todde, the seven protagonists of the Navicella 2024 collected the prestigious award, the famous silver ship designed and created by the Cagliari goldsmith Bruno Busonera and inspired by the famous Nuragic bronze, accompanied by the music of the Sardinian Chamber Orchestra conducted by maestro Simone Pittau.

The same one that accompanied the delivery of the special communication award named after Olimpia Matacena, the soul of the event for years, who passed away in 2015, to the Mediaset journalist Roberta Floris, who succeeds in the roll of honor the Rai correspondent from London Marco Varvello, winner last year.
