«Given the results obtained on the topic of revenue and on all the subjects in which we have ventured, after a path started in this direction, I believe we need to be able to continue on this path, put the reforms started to the ground, continuing in a positive trend, avoiding in the interest of Sardinia that there is a solution that calls into question everything that has been done." At the National Council of the Psd'Az, this afternoon in Bonarcado, the secretary and president of the Region Christian Solinas raised the possibility of a Sardinian re-nomination for the office of governor for the centre-right.

«In the face of the legitimate aspirations of all the parties, of all the alternative candidacies that are proposed», he declared, «we have a good right to demand with equal dignity and in the same way to continue to lead a Sardinian path of redemption over the next five years and rebirth of this land, to whose better destiny we have dedicated and will continue to dedicate all our energy".

Furthermore, he began, «we are founding members, not guests, of a government majority that we have contributed to building and characterizing, because let's not forget that the current majority is Sardinian-driven, not only and not so much because its president is Sardinian, but because from the first to the last point of the program we wanted to contribute with clear indications and two questions that we have always put first: what is the advantage for the Sardinians, and for Sardinia".

At the end of the assembly the National Council voted unanimously to re-nominate the governor.

But at the Roman centre-right table - which has the task of making a synthesis - it emerged that an in-depth analysis is necessary on Sardinia, as on Basilicata. Translated: outgoing presidents cannot automatically consider themselves re-nominated. To date, FdI has indicated Paolo Truzzu, Forza Italia has named Pietro Pittalis and Alessandra Zedda. Solinas is the name of the League, made months ago by leader Matteo Salvini. Who, tonight at 8.30 pm, will speak via video conference at the Carroccio festival held in Fertilia.
