Napoli's season ticket campaign for next season closed today with record numbers: 98% of those eligible to exercise their right of first refusal, having already purchased last season's season tickets, repurchased season tickets, while the remaining 2% of season tickets were sold in just a few minutes this morning.

In total, the Azzurri club reports, over 24,000 season tickets were sold, less than half of the just over 50,000 fans hosted at the Maradona.

The remaining seats will be sold as individual match-by-match tickets, and the sales phases and ticket purchase procedures for the first home match of the season, Napoli-Cagliari, scheduled for August 30, will be announced in the coming days.

"The club," Napoli wrote on its website, "would like to thank the tens of thousands of fans who attempted to purchase season tickets this morning. The decision, adopted for three seasons now, to cap the number of season tickets available stems from the desire to ensure as many Napoli supporters as possible have the opportunity to attend the team's home games. We look forward to seeing you all at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium for another season of experience with you by our side." Weekly sales for the league and the Champions League, the draw for which will be held on August 28, have therefore resumed at the Maradona Stadium.
