"Thank you, Mister!" Following Antonio Conte's announcement yesterday on his Instagram profile, Napoli Calcio officially announced the termination of the contract between the parties today. "SSC Napoli," the statement reads, "announces that it has amicably terminated its employment relationship with coach Antonio Conte and his staff ahead of its natural expiration date. Mister Conte, who led the Azzurri for two seasons, led Napoli to their fourth Scudetto title on May 23, 2025, and to the Italian Super Cup victory last December 22."
"To the coach and his staff," the statement concludes, "our thanks for their excellent work, and our best wishes for the future and for the upcoming professional challenges they decide to take on. Thank you, mister!"
Max Allegri, who was sacked by Milan after failing to qualify for the Champions League, is in pole position to sit on the Azzurri bench.
