"You can imagine that the last few days have been incredibly difficult." Thus begins a reflection that Radja Nainggolan has entrusted to social media, in three languages (Dutch, Italian and English), after his arrest and release for involvement in an investigation by the Brussels Prosecutor's Office for international cocaine trafficking. The Ninja is accused of having lent money to individuals who would have imported the drug.
The former Cagliari, Roma and Inter midfielder, now playing for Lokoren in the Belgian second division, thanks his lawyers and for "the warm support of my family, my friends and the club, as well as its extraordinary fans who give me the strength to carry on".
After the interrogation, Nainggolan returned home: "I want to focus completely on football and on finding my serenity again". Then an appeal: "I ask that my privacy and the time I need to recover be respected. For the moment, I am not allowed to, I will not give any interviews about the case".
The support “means more to me than words can express and I will never forget it.”
