«My brother Aldo died in his cell as an innocent»: a book by Cristiano Scardella so as not to forget
The 25-year-old was accused of a murder (the Bevimarket crime in the Fonsarda district of Cagliari) that he had not committedThe thoughts of Cristiano Scardella, Aldo's brother, a young man accused of a murder (the Bevimarket crime in the Fonsarda district of Cagliari) that he had not committed. Aldo Scardella, imprisoned in the Buoncammino prison, died in his cell in the first days of July 1986. He was 25 years old.
In the volume “Scardella case, endless horror. A burned soul" (Alfa editrice, pages 96), now in bookstores, in prose and poetic form, with reflections, memories, feelings suspended between courage, strength of mind and understandable fragility, Cristiano nourishes the memory of Aldo, a a boy who lived the unfortunately short cycle of his life with passion and civil commitment.
«In this volume – he explains – there is the story of my brother who for me is a continuous source of inspiration and energy. In my story, which also develops with poetry, I take on the role of a Western character, Zeb Macahan. It's a way to exorcise pain, an attempt to keep it away ."
A world to remember the story (private and collective) of Aldo who died in prison, innocent, after a judicial via crucis that marked his life : «Even the young generations must know what happened. Aldo's story concerns everyone, because each of us could end up in the infernal circuit that led my brother to his death and destroyed my family."
