Also in Sardinia the municipal elections will be celebrated on 12 June, on the same day as the referendum on justice.

On the island, votes are cast in 65 municipalities, two with over 15,000 inhabitants (one capital, Oristano, and Selargius). June 26 will instead be dedicated to ballots.

The administrative date will be formalized with a resolution in the next meeting of the council, probably already in the next few hours.

There will be no space on the election day for the referendums to be celebrated in the neighboring municipalities for the adhesions to the new provinces established by the reform of the local authorities, which emerged unscathed from the sentence of the Constitutional Court. First, in fact, the Executive will have to appoint the commissioners to ensure the transition from the old to the new structure.
