The French Fabio Quartararo on Yamaha wins the Catalan Grand Prix, the ninth round of the MotoGP world championship, and consolidates his leadership in the rider standings.
The reigning champion precedes the Ducati Pramacs of Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco on the podium . Fourth for Mir on Suzuki, fifth for Aleix Espargaro's Aprilia, author of a sensational error at these levels. The Spaniard, who was second, thought he had finished the race with one lap still to go, so he slowed down and lost three positions. And he has to thank the large gaps that had been created if he did not end up even further behind.
Sixth Luca Marini on Ducati, Vinales, Binder, Oliveira and Alez Marquez close the top ten.
