With an overtaking move on the last lap, a few corners from the finish line, Alexis Espargaro on an Aprilia won the Great Britain Grand Prix at Silverston ahead of world champion Francesco Bagnaia on a Ducati.
Another Aprilia on the third step of a podium occupied by Italian bikes, that of Brad Binder. Ruinous crash after a quarter of an hour by Marco Bezzecchi, in a race made even more uncertain and spectacular by the rain that started falling 7 laps from the end.
Falls also for Marc Marquez and the 2020 champion Mir with the factory Hondas, while Alex Marquez retired due to a gearbox problem.
Bagnaia extends in the standings in light of the crash of Bezzecchi and the bad performance of Martin, his direct pursuers.
