Marco Bezzecchi on Aprilia won the MotoGP British GP. Johann Zarco (Honda) finished second at Silverstone. Marc Márquez (Ducati) also finished third on the podium.

Marc Márquez himself crashed at the start while leading, with the race stopped on the second lap which gave him the chance to restart: red flags were displayed for oil on the track . At the start it was his brother, Álex, who had crashed, then Franco Morbidelli and Aleix Espargaró also crashed. It was probably the latter's Honda that caused the oil leak.

Morbidelli finished fourth, Álex Márquez fifth. Quartararo (technical problem when he was leading) and Bagnaia (fall) were out .

In the world championship standings, Marc Márquez rises to 196 points , his brother Álex is second at -25, while Bagnaia slips to -72.
