The Dutch Jeffrey Herlings dominated the MxGp Sardegna, 10th round of the Motocross World Championship, which for the first time landed in Riola Sardo. Thanks to the triumphs in race 1 and race 2, the Red Bull Ktm Factory Racing driver made a full loot and conquered the top of the world rankings, overtaking, albeit by only one point, the reigning champion Tim Gajser. The Slovenian today finished 19th in race 1 and 8th in race 2, results definitely below his standards and, according to "radio corsa", caused by an alleged injury to the collarbone, not officially confirmed by either the rider or the Honda team, as well as the alleged consequent remedial intervention.

Today, in Riola, the same drivers climbed to the top step of the MxGp podium twice, the winner Herlings, his teammate Jorge Prado, who in race 2 had been in the lead for a long time before undergoing the return of the Dutch, and French Kawasaki Romain Febvre, third.

Out of the game the highly anticipated Tony Cairoli, victim of a fall in qualifying and forced to forfeit. The nine-time world champion has undergone tests in the mobile clinic, including a CT scan, and will carry out new ones when he returns to Rome on Wednesday. For the moment, through the entourage of the Sicilian, it is revealed that the pilot feels pain in the neck and back but would not have suffered any particular injuries.

MX2 - The Ktm driver, Mattia Guadagnini, who in race 1 of the Mx2 cadet series, got on the third step of the podium behind two transalpines, Vialle (Ktm), winner of both heats, gave Italy a joy. and Renaux (Yamaha), second in race1 and third in race3 behind the Belgian Geerts, who redeemed himself by climbing on the second step of the podium after finishing eighth race1, in which he had been the protagonist of a crash.
