Start with a bad accident for Pecco Bagnaia in Montmelò, where the MotoGp Catalunya Grand Prix took place.

The Ducati rider had started very fast, but at the first corner there was a collision involving at least five riders: Bastianini, Alex Marquez, Di Giannantonio, Zarco and Bezzecchi.

At the next Bagnaia was thrown from his bike and another following, with Binder riding, ran over his right leg.

Only great fear for the reigning world champion, who left the track in an ambulance but conscious and taken to hospital in Barcelona. After a few hours of Ducati's announcement, a sigh of relief: « Bagnaia suffered multiple bruises, but further medical tests did not reveal any fractures . The reigning world champion will fly to Italy tonight with the team».

Instead, Enea Bastianini will have to be operated on, who suffered two fractures in his ankle and hand.

After cleaning the asphalt, the riders then lined up on the starting grid and set off again. The race ended without Italian riders on the podium but with three Italian bikes in the first three places: Aleix Espargaro won ahead of Maverick Vinales (both Aprilia), Jorge Martin third on Ducati .
