Monastir achieved a historic feat, reaching the Group G playoff final in their first Serie D appearance, defeating Trastevere. A first-half strike from Aloia decided the match, but the Sardinian side's victory was down to an entire team that dominated the game for long stretches and even hit the woodwork three times. This was a crucial victory for Marcello Angheleddu's men, who officially qualify for a possible Serie C playoff, capping off an already extraordinary season.

Monastir's approach was immediately convincing. In the 5th minute, Curcione attempted a long-range shot, forcing Della Rocca to deflect it into a corner. Four minutes later, Aloia's first chance came: a spectacular overhead kick that hit the post. It was the prelude to the lead that came in the 13th minute: Aloia unleashed a shot from 30 meters that surprised the Roman goalkeeper and slotted home to make it 1-0.

Trastevere attempted to respond. In the 20th minute, Ferrante's shot from outside the box grazed the crossbar, while a minute later Lorusso tested Mereu, who did well to respond. In the 24th minute, the Roman striker threatened again, but the visiting goalkeeper responded once again. After half an hour, Piro, from a good position, fired weakly into the arms of Della Rocca.

Monastir, however, continued to create significant chances and almost doubled their lead in the 33rd minute with Naguel, whose powerful right-foot shot crashed against the post. Shortly afterward, Porru headed the ball just wide from a corner.

At the start of the second half, Petrucci nearly equalized with a shot that went just wide. In the 13th minute, Piro had another chance, while Mereu excelled at the counterattack, saving the game from Crescenzo. Monastir came close again in the closing stages: in the 44th minute, Gibilterra fired toward goal, but Della Rocca parried it, and on the rebound, Conti, with the goal virtually unguarded, incredibly headed against the crossbar.

In the final minutes, Trastevere poured forward in search of an equalizer, but Monastir defended with order and determination until the final whistle, earning a deserved victory that will rightfully enter the history books of the Sardinian club.
