He arrived in January of this year, just past the halfway point of last season, and experienced the climb that led to promotion to Serie D on June 15th.
David Edoardo Suazo, a striker born in 2005 and son of a talented player (his father, David, played for Cagliari and Inter), is among those confirmed in the Monastir squad for 2025-2026 and will be part of the group of overage players, who are required to play in the interregional category.
Having grown up in Cagliari's youth academy, Suazo already has experience in Serie D: in the 2023-2024 season at Chisola, in Piedmont, with 9 appearances and one goal in Group A. During his career he has also played for Ferrini, Selargius and Sant'Elena, in the latter experience he already had the opportunity to meet Fabio Vignati, who will also be his assistant coach this season.
“I’m approaching the new season with great enthusiasm, convinced of the choice I’ve made,” says Suazo.
I thank the coach, the club, and all my teammates for their trust. I hope this will be a year where we can shine, both as a team and as a player. It will be Monastir's first in Serie D. We hope to do our best and get 100% out of each of us. Working well as a team can achieve many results: we have a strong squad, and we can have a great season.
