Gianmarco Tunis , 24 years old from Pirri, one of the three investigated for the murder of Leonardo Mocci, in Monserrato on the night between Wednesday 22 April and Thursday 23, had already gotten into trouble in 2022 : together with a minor accomplice, just fifteen years old, he had been arrested for a robbery and assault against five university students in the area of the sports hall on Via Rockefeller in Cagliari.

His younger brother Filippo, now twenty but a minor at the time, was also listed as a suspect , but has since been dismissed . Now the two Tunis men are at the center of a delicate and very serious investigation: they are being investigated, along with Daniel Campus, a 25-year-old from Quartu, for the murder of Mocci, who was shot in the chest in Piazza Settimio Severo. The three are also accused of robbery, which ended in bloodshed : they stole approximately €5,000 from the victim's friend, who was lured into the trap, as reconstructed by the Carabinieri investigation, to purchase a batch of hashish.

Investigators are continuing their work at a rapid pace, interviewing witnesses and awaiting the results of a series of tests on clothing, cell phones, and other items recovered by the Carabinieri and entrusted to the RIS for analysis.
