The prospect of purchasing a shipment of drugs , possibly hashish, at a very advantageous price. A real bargain, negotiated over several days via various messages , then finalized with an agreement on the price (a few thousand euros) and quantity. Finally, the nighttime rendezvous was set in Piazza Settimio Severo in Monserrato for the exchange, which, in reality, was a trap set by a gang of unscrupulous robbers, who had reportedly struck several times before and didn't hesitate to kill. The one who paid the highest price was Leonardo Mocci, the 23-year-old bricklayer from Villacidro killed on the night between Wednesday and Thursday with a gunshot to the heart. He may have had nothing to do with the deal, but he apparently agreed to accompany his friend for his protection.

The two young men apparently fell into the trap of a gang specializing in robberies , which had already committed a series of similar attacks in the past. Clearly, no one reported the incident, since the victims were always people who were supposed to be purchasing drugs, but the suspicion is that the group of criminals has now established a copycat pattern.

The 23-year-old's funeral will be held today in Villacidro.
