The extraordinary administration of Tirrenia filed a positive opinion on the proposed arrangement with creditors presented by Moby-Cin with the bankruptcy court of Milan with the agreement on the restructuring of the debt that Cin has towards the former Tirrenia and on the basis of the formula of " balance and excerpt ", which should lead the Italian shipping company to pay 82 million euros to Tirrenia in As. As far as it is known, the substantial agreement has been filed with the judges, together with other documents, to be followed by the signature of the Mise.
The Milanese judges (president Alida Paluchowski) had set yesterday's date as the deadline for the filing of the agreement with Tirrenia in extraordinary administration, which was Cin's last major creditor called to give the green light to the proposed arrangement with creditors. by Moby-Cin to restore the group (banks and creditors bondholders of Moby had already given the okay).
In recent days, the Aponte family and the Onorato family have reached an agreement for the MSC group's capital increase in Moby. An increase aimed at paying Tirrenia under extraordinary administration to allow the immediate recovery of the Moby group and in the interest of its 6 thousand workers. At that point, between Cin and Tirrenia (which boasted a credit of around 180 million) an agreement was reached for the restructuring of the debt with the formula of "balance and write-off" and which should lead, in practice, into the coffers of the extraordinary administration around 82 million euros.
A substantial agreement that has been deposited, together with other documents, at the Court and which, as far as has been known, should be followed by the signing of the Mise. The last word will be given to the bankruptcy court, after the creditors' meetings scheduled for 20 and 27 June. In the meantime, the bankruptcy investigation, coordinated by the Milanese prosecutor Roberto Fontana, in which Vincenzo Onorato and his son Achille are being investigated, is heading towards closure.
