Pogacar crossed the finish line first, beating Pidcock by half a wheel, with a final time of 6:35:49. The Slovenian had fallen a few kilometers before the Cipressa, suffering visible abrasions on his left hip and thigh, and had to chase the group.

Third at the finish line was Wout Van Aert, who started from the chasing group after the descent of the Poggio, with Mads Pedersen fourth.
