Dinamo only spoiled the party for 12 minutes, then Milan remembered its 90 years of history and successes and honored the many guests celebrated during the long interval with a 99-87 victory.
Olimpia's return to the Assago Forum was a tough game to comment on, as S Assari showed so many different sides. The best was the opening game, where, playing with great confidence and fueled by a strong McGlynn and the talent of Buie and Macon, they managed to take the lead: 22-32 after 12 minutes.
The home team then remembered how to defend in the Euroleague and crushed the white-blues: 13-0, then a 40-11 run between the second quarter and the start of the third. Mrsic's white-blues even ended up within 23 points before rallying thanks to the skill of Macon, the drives of the rediscovered Marshall, and a three-pointer by Beliuaskas that reduced the deficit to just eight points in the 38th minute. Two sharp plays were enough for Milan to close out the game.
Macon top scorer with 23 points, McGlynn also did well with 15 points and Beliauskas with 14. Thomas was terrible: 4 fouls and no points.
