The " Merlata Bloom ", the new "super mall" of the Lombardy capital, was inaugurated this morning in Milan.

Dedicated to shopping, food, entertainment and events, it is the first "Lifestyle Center" designed according to the highest international sustainability standards , and which also bears the "signature" of Sardinia : the intervention was in fact developed by the Merlata Mall company of which Sergio Zuncheddu , publisher of the L'Unione Sarda Group, is president and CEO.

Inside the structure, built in the Gallaratese district close to the A4 motorway and managed by Nhood Services Italy , there are 210 shops, including new brands and experimental concept stores, local and international brands, and 43 restaurants, an Esselunga superstore, one two-storey store by Decathlon and a latest generation multiplex cinema under the Notorious Cinemas brand. There are a thousand new jobs available which could rise , when fully operational and with related activities, up to two thousand .

Extreme attention is also paid to the environment, thanks to 5,000 m2 of internal and external green areas and a 30-hectare park .

The architecture of the structure is also particular and innovative: designed by the international studio CallisonRTKL , it stands out «for the references between the private open spaces and the public external parts and for the dominance of natural light in spaces built with sustainable materials, which denote attention to 'energy efficiency'.
