Merger of Sardinian airports, the plan goes ahead: how much is Sogaer worth?

How much is Cagliari airport worth? And what weight could its actions have in the merger project with the other two ports of Sardinia - Olbia and Alghero - wanted by the Chamber of Commerce of the capital and already agreed, in "good faith" through a non-binding agreement, with the fund F2i, direct emanation of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti?

The plan aimed at creating a single management company for Mario Mameli, Costa Smeralda and Fertilia therefore goes ahead. Enac, which must supervise and possibly bless it (or reject it) , recently announced that, before proceeding, the Chamber of Commerce (currently 94.45% owner of Sogaer) must wait for the national airport plan.

The goal is to "melt" the existing Spa to create a brand new one, with private participation. The president of the Cagliari Chamber, Maurizio De Pascale, has assured that public bodies will maintain control of the new legal entity, and therefore of the management of the main ports to and from Sardinia. But tensions over the operation remained high: opponents fear private interference that would take away from the island a heritage like that of the airports.

So here is the resolution of 5 October by which it was decided to "submit the participation of the Chamber in the Sogaer to the evaluation of an independent third party in order to determine its market value, as well as to acquire any useful element for the evaluations of the Chamber's competence. with regard to the implementation of the integration project in question ".
